January 8th, 2011

Hello trusty followers!
Hope you are all enjoying your day (whatever time it may be where you are!) I mucked around with my blog settings and found out that there is a map of where you all are! The majority of my readers come from Australia, then Canada, followed by the US! Enough shop talk! You want to hear about my day.

This morning I woke like every other morning; usually having something shoved in my face. Sometimes it's a toy, sometimes a pillow; most mornings it's a small child. Some of you may know that for the longest time Saturdays were "Pancake Day" or as Caity fondly calls them "mancakes".  Now with the holidays I have been super slack with pancake day. It usually turns into cornflake day or toast day. Today I relented and made pancakes. Nothing fancy, just regular old pancakes with maple syrup. They wouldnt let me cut them up because "we are not babies anymore mummy" That's cool, less work for me!

(look Im a puppy)

So after pancakes (which I got none because as all us mums know, kids come first and there is always a hungry kid at my house. I made the mistake of going to the toilet one morning and came back to find my fried eggs missing from between my toast... )  Everyone chilled. Caity went missing for a bit. Turns out she had grabbed Sarah's "Cuddly" and was hanging out on the bath step. Dunno what they were discussing but it sounded pretty intense. It didn't end on a good note either as after this photo was taken, Cuddly ended up going for a swim :(  (the bath was empty but wet) He probably told her she should keep her nappy on or something.

Because Caity doesn't like the pool, I usually wait until she is having her sleep before I let the kids outside into the pool. It was a bit cold in there and they were being little chickens so I did what every good, honest mother does. I turned the hose on them. LOL

There is always one.

So in a nutshell that was our day. The afternoon was hanging out watching...Harry Potter of course. Hayley and Sarah played Mario Kart on their DSs and the twins made a fort in my lounge room while I cooked dinner. Another typical day.
